Costa’s Cotta Calls for Collaboration

Some 200 FPA members and their guests enjoyed the annual House of Commons Lunch, starting with drinks on a sun-bathed terrace beside the Thames.   The lunch was once again hosted by Mark Pawsey MP, Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Packaging.

This year’s key-note speaker was Jason Cotta, Managing Director of Costa Coffee UK and Ireland, who gave an engaging profile of Costa, its vision for the future and the challenges it faces in terms of packaging.  He said that there is a lot of work to do but success will only be brought about by the industry working together and the FPA, and the joint work of the FPA and Paper Cup Recovery and Recycling Group (PCRRG), is providing leadership for the industry.   He said that by engaging with others throughout the supply chain and collaborating on projects, the industry will reach effective solutions to the issues of recovery and recycling.

Chairman Howard Colliver thanked members for their continued support and Executive Director Martin Kersh announced the sponsors of the 2017 FPA Awards.
