The FPA Sustainability Award, sponsored by NCCO International demonstrates FPA members’ continuing commitment to make the best use of resources.
Entries should include policies and practices embedded in your day to day operations that will result in sustainability benefits but not actual products which should be entered into the Product Innovation Award.

Judges are looking for planned activities to which you are committed, which have a clear benefit and will make a long-term reduction to your business’s environmental impact.

This Award acknowledges the excellent Corporate and Social Responsibility campaigns undertaken by FPA members. CSR is key part of business strategy enhancing reputation and increasing customer and staff loyalty.
We seek submissions that demonstrate responsibility to act ethically with regard to employees, customers and the immediate and wider community and which in some way improves quality of life. 
CSR issues may include 
Responsible sourcing
Stakeholder engagement
Welfare of the local community and environment
Community relationships
Working with other organisations such as schools and prisons
Schemes to improve the welfare of employees
Employee volunteering
Health and well being and caring for those in need

The quantity of funds and resource used to develop and promote the campaign is not a relevant factor. More important is sound thinking, real commitment and the monitoring of effectiveness.

FPA FOODSERVICE RETAILER AWARD 2020

VOTES TO BE RECEIVED BY Monday 10  February 

The FPA Foodservice Retailer Award, sponsored by RAP, is awarded to the take-away food restaurant, coffee shop, sandwich shop, in-supermarket or convenience store takeaway, home delivery or bakery considered by FPA members to have made the most significant impact our market in the last 12 months.
Candidates are made up of those retailers that last year received the most 1st choice preferences. However the online survey gives you the opportunity to add in a choice of your own should you feel there is another retailer more deserving of this award. A list of criteria is below

FPA PRODUCT INNOVATION AWARD 2020

AWARDS FOR FRONT AND BACK OF HOUSE

FPA members are invited to enter products introduced to the market in the 12 months prior to 1 January 2020. The Awards give exposure to a high profile panel of judges and to the membership at large and are a superb vehicle for showcasing excellence innovation by FPA members.
Product Innovation Awards entrants also receive an exhibition table at  the pre-awards exhibition.

ENTRIES SHOULD DEMONSTRATE IMPROVEMENTS AND DEVELOPMENTS
FOR AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Use of materials and resource efficiency
  • Recognition of circular economy requirements
  • Ease of use
  • Safety
  • Helping to reduce food waste
  • Enabling new food and drink offerings to be placed on the market
  • Reflecting new distribution channels for food on the go and delivery
  • Enabling customers to be more efficient, hygienic, meet regulations or better placed to meet their objectives
  • Meeting the needs of specific targets and / or occasions and events
  • Reducing litter
  • Improving customer experience and enjoyment
  • Style, branding and design (including promotions)

You are welcome to enter multiple products provided each is on a separate entry form, is produced by a FPA member company and first marketed within the UK during the 12 months to 1 January 2020.

Please indicate on the form whether you would like your entry to be considered for the front of house or back of house awards. The latter will be judged by a specialist panel.
The winning entry will be announced in Packaging News, on tte FPA website, in social and trade media.

Forms must be completed and emailed to  FPA Admin  before 24 January  2020. Products must be received by FPA admin no later than 31 January. It would be very helpful if you could please advise if you intend entering as soon as possible.
