Well, what a night it was. Full of fun and frolics, as FPA members and their guests, resplendent in their finery, took over the The Grand in Brighton for our FPA Awards evening.
It was wonderful to be able to catch up with our award sponsors, event sponsors, judges, FPA members, and, of course, all our award nominees. The standard of entries reached a new high this year and it was a tough job for the judges to select the winners.
The evening was a huge success. Host and comedian, Zoe Lyons shared her love of food packaging (and the food within it ...), and, together with our chairman, Mark Pawsey, handed out no less than 15 awards - including some special awards, which took the recipients totally by surprise.
As always, the amazing staff at The Grand did us proud. The food was delicious, and in-between courses guests enjoyed live music from ‘The Stuntmen’. Afterwards, there was plenty of fun and laughter going on around the magic mirror, and the chips were flying in the casino area.

Awards Exhibition and Afternoon Tea
Guests took advantage of the opportunity to meet the award entrants and look through their entries during the afternoon of the awards. The atmosphere was buzzing and it was great to see more than 30 companies' innovations and products on display.

| Following the exhibition, and in acknowledgement of International Women's Day earlier in the week, Anna Turner hosted a special afternoon get-together tea for ladies working in the industry. It was a chance for them to meet one another prior to the evening and was a great success. Our thanks to the afternoon tea sponsor, Euro Packaging Group for sponsoring both the ladies' event and the afternoon tea for all our other guests. |

WasteAid
Over the course of the evening we ran two raffles and an auction to raise funds for the FPA's chosen charity WasteAid. Just Eat kindly donated a £500 voucher and we had three further Amazon vouchers for £300, £150 and £50 kindly donated by Packaging Innovations. Over £4,000 was raised on the night. Our thanks to all concerned and congratulations to the lucky winners. |
