The FPA Apprentice of the Year Award celebrates the exceptional contribution, growth, and potential of apprentices working within the foodservice packaging industry. This award recognises individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to their personal and professional development, have made a tangible impact within their organisation, and embody the future of excellence in our sector.
 

Apprentices are the foundation of the industry’s future – this award highlights those who go above and beyond in their learning journey, showing initiative, creativity, and dedication to both their role and the wider goals of the business.

Alex Curran - KP

"Since joining the team in May 2021, Adrian has consistently exemplified a high standard and commitment to his ongoing learning and development, making a positive impact on his own skills and knowledge, but also on the colleagues in the wider depot team.

"Working in one of the warehouse’s busiest and most demanding areas, Adrian consistently completes tasks accurately and on time, taking pride in every job. He is always looking for ways to improve processes or save time, and his efforts to streamline his work area have made it more efficient not only for himself but also for the night pickers. As a result, he is consistently ranked in the top two for performance each day. His proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement demonstrates both creativity and original thinking, ensuring the team operates at its best."

Actively introduces and promotes the Packaging Professionals BSc course delivered by Sheffield Hallam University to new apprentices and colleagues, helping them understand the benefits of further education and professional accreditation within the packaging industry. By sharing experiences and encouraging structured learning, supports a culture of continuous improvement and long-term skills development"
