Events
The FPA holds four key events each year: the annual FPA Awards and Exhibition, the Environment Seminar, Golf and Activities Day and the AGM. Other events, such as roadshows and webinars, help inform and educate members and facilitate networking.
The association is also a sponsor of the Sustainability & Impact Summit and partners with Easyfairs for London Packaging Week and Packaging Innovations & Empack (see 'Partner events' below).
We're delighted to invite you, your colleagues, and your customers, to join us on Thursday 11 June for the FPA's Annual Golf and Activities Day, which is taking place at Breadsall Priory Country Club in Derbyshire.
This year, you have two options to choose from:
Golf Day
18 holes of golf within the stunning grounds of Breadsall Priory Country Club, just a 10-minute drive from Derby. We will be following the four-ball better ball Stableford handicap allowance format, but don't worry if you can't make up a team of four – we can help to put one together. Following member requests, and to maximise the business networking opportunities, we have added the option this year to be placed in a mixed team with other guests on the day.
We will be awarding the FPA Golf Winner's Cup for the single highest individual score and an FPA Golf Champions Shield for the winning team – plus the usual competitions for closest to the pin and the longest drive.
Activities Day
Set in the beautiful grounds of Breadsall Priory Country Club we are hosting a fun-filled "Quintessentially English" Activities day. Teams will compete in a series of many challenges, including Axe-throwing, splat -the-rat, welly wanging, tug-of-war, croquet, boules, races and........duck herding. Yes, you read that correctly!
Teams will consist of five members; you can enter a full team of five or be placed in a mixed company team.
An evening barbecue will follow the day's activities giving plenty more networking opportunities.
Formerly known as the Environmental Packaging Summit and Awards, the Packaging News Sustainability & Impact Summit and Awards return on Tuesday 14 July at the KIA Oval, London, representing an evolution of a long-standing and trusted programme.
The new name reflects how the packaging sustainability conversation has matured, moving beyond environmental intent to measurable impact, commercial reality and system-wide change.
While the core principles remain the same - rigorous benchmarking, independent expert judging and practical industry insight - the evolved Sustainability & Impact platform broadens its scope to better reflect today’s challenges. It now encompasses circularity, carbon reduction, regulatory reform, innovation and real-world implementation across the full packaging and waste value chain.
Together, the Summit and Awards provide a joined-up platform to recognise leadership, share best practice and help businesses navigate tightening regulation, rising costs and increasing scrutiny.
The Sustainability & Impact Summit and Awards continue to offer the same credibility and rigour the industry trusts, delivered through a clearer, more future-focused lens.
Complimentary Surrey Cricket Tickets for Summit Delegates
As an added benefit, delegates who book their place before Friday 29 May will also receive access to complimentary Surrey Cricket match tickets at the Kia Oval, with a range of fixtures available throughout the season.
