Governance
The FPA has an executive chair elected by the members, a governing board, an executive director appointed by the board, and committees covering key areas with committee heads who report to the board.
Our board
Our success is powered by a dedicated team who bring passion, expertise, and a collaborative spirit to the FPA.

As a dedicated board member of the FPA, Charlie is deeply invested in ensuring a secure and sustainable future for the organisation. She is passionate about fostering an environment where future generations can actively participate in FPA events and initiatives, leaving a positive and lasting impact on the industry.
Our committees
Our committee structure ensures members are represented at every level. This enables a broad section of members to participate in the running of the association. It would be impossible for the FPA to exist were it not for the dedication of the many industry professionals who give their time freely to sit on one of the FPA's committees.
Regulatory and Compliance
The massive increase in reported packaging environmental claims lacking evidence and substantiation have led the FPA to set up a Regulatory and Compliance Committee to establish and administer an independent and confidential procedure surrounding complaints of breaches, and to hold those who breach regulations to account
Examples of breaches include unsubstantiated claims of packaging being plastic free, biodegradable, green or eco without defining how; made up symbols or abuse of legitimate ones; and misleading end of life claims. In some instances ‘evidence’ is produced that relates only to the material and not the finished packaging.
The committee will approach each case objectively – operating within UKAS certification compliance processes and the CMA Green Code. Our aim is to help protect the reputation of the foodservice packaging industry and we will work alongside our members to ensure all packaging claims are fully compliant and in line with the FPA's Code of Practice.
