Fundraising

The FPA's chosen charity is WasteAid, which works with communities and policy makers in low and middle-income countries to implement waste management and recycling programmes. The charity's work improves the livelihoods of some of the poorest and most marginalised, supports grassroots entrepreneurs and promotes circular economy innovation contributing to a cleaner and healthier future for all. Waste management helps address some of the world’s most pressing issues and is critical to achieving sustainable development.

Fundraising activities

With the support of the FPA Charity and Fundraising Committee, headed up by Cara Cottam (second on the left in the image alongside), the FPA works hard to ensure there are fundraising opportunities at every FPA networking event, such as the annual FPA Awards Exhibition and ceremony and the Golf and Activities Day.

The FPA's members are always unfailingly generous in their donations, via ticket sales, raffles, and in donating prizes for the auction held during the FPA Awards ceremony. If your company would like to pledge a donation, please get in touch via the button below:

About WasteAid

One in three people worldwide are forced to dump or burn their waste, causing disease, polluting the oceans, and contributing to the global climate crisis.

WasteAid’s programmes tackle four major waste streams that have a significant and detrimental effect on people and planet in the countries where the charity works.

  • Plastics
  • Organic
  • Textiles
  • Electronics (WEEE)
